Description

This command initiates the upgrade of the database of the Data Lake cluster.

Synopsis

  start-database-upgrade
--datalake <value>
[--target-version <value>]
[--force | --no-force]
[--cli-input-json <value>]
[--generate-cli-skeleton]

Options

--datalake (string)

The name or CRN of the Data Lake.

--target-version (string)

The database engine major version to upgrade to.

Possible values:

  • VERSION_11

  • VERSION_14

--force | --no-force (boolean)

Start the database upgrade flow even if the source and target versions are the same. Can be used to reinitiate an upgrade after a failure.

--cli-input-json (string)

Performs service operation based on the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton. If other arguments are provided on the command line, the CLI values will override the JSON-provided values.

--generate-cli-skeleton (boolean)

Prints a sample input JSON to standard output. Note the specified operation is not run if this argument is specified. The sample input can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json.

The database engine major version to upgrade to.
